Drawn to the beach theme that I love with the uniqueness of art on something more unconventional like a board, I’ve always loved turning something old and unwanted into something special and beautiful that people can love and receive enjoyment from.
I was asked recently by a client to paint an artwork on a surfboard. Through that process my desire to create surfboard art was rekindled. Inspired by the Sydney beaches I grew up around, and incorporating my love of mixed media and the layering of different textures, each board encompasses love of the ocean with a modern, unique, edge.

Every board is unique. I paint on used boards that often come with little dents here, occasional abrasion there. I kind of like their imperfections though. Like us, each one has a story. I use subtle 3D texture, and I’m notorious for adding extra things to the art like high quality gold or silver leaf that catches the light at certain angles, or newspaper intertwined within the paint creating a mild collage effect. The boards are coated with two layers of gloss varnish to complete them with a high quality, durable finish.
I’ll be adding more surfboard art shortly, so check back soon or contact me to get an email when new boards are posted. I also offer customised boards so if you have something specific in mind please feel free to get in touch.
